You no longer need to travel all the way to London or New York to sip good cocktails in a simple yet stylish place. Paris now also has a real cocktail scene to explore !
The Sherry Butt is a recent addition to that bunch of high-quality bars, with their owners coming from well-know places such as the Prescription. If you haven’t been lucky enough to try their magical recipes at the Yelp Open party, you should definitely push the door on one of those evenings.
Their specialty is the whisky. I didn’t know much about it and thought I wouldn’t find one that would be soft enough for my taste but I have to say those Japanese whiskys were very tasty. Whether you prefer floral notes or aged whiskys, you will for sure find something you like. The two well-travelled founders, Amaury and Cathleen, are very knowledgeable and passionate about the topic and will happily answer any questions you might have.
And if you really do not like whisky, please try one of their inventive house cocktails. My favourite one is the Belle en Bulle, a nice combination of pisco, pear syrup, lemon and champagne.
