There are plenty of cocktail bars in Paris. Some are quite good, many are really average. Sometimes you might have tried all the cocktails on the menu or feel like they are missing that special ingredient you like. Well, there’s a solution to that : the Pixel Bar !
A small bar in the busy Odéon neighbourhood, at the end of the rue Dauphine. As soon as you enter, the bartender welcomes you with a smile. You will find all the “classical” cocktails on the menu but you will also discover something a little more special : the opportunity to create your own cocktail. How does this work ?
All you have to do is pick your favourite alcohol (ie : Grey Goose vodka), a liquor you like, a juice and the most important ingredient : a spice out of the list they give you. You can then give it a name of your choice and the bartender will prepare it for you. If you need any help, he will also be more than happy to advise you on the best combination. This is how I created the Pear Crush. The other good surprise is that they keep your recipe in their books so you can give the name to your friends and they can order it from the bar at any time.
